The founders of Marseille International School are Sophie and Bruno. They live together in Marseille and are the parents of two little boys. Both having university degrees, their entire careers have been spent in France and German-speaking Switzerland in multinational companies. Assignments they carried out abroad, where they mixed with numerous training specialists, famous directors and successful international schools, particularly Swiss, convinced them of the relevance of a totally bilingual school right from infancy. Their ease in this milieu showed them that the child, who develops the greatest adaptability skills at an early age, is the one who will have the best chances in a world of perpetual change. By creating their own school in Bruno and their sons’ native region, their wish now is to offer Marseille parents the possibility of enrolling their children in an internationally minded establishment. Inspired by their love for children, Bruno and Sophie are surrounded by professional international teaching specialists for infants: For example, Suzanne is Canadian and teaches in English. She has been trained to the newest teaching methods and is used to teaching in international schools with the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme. Laurence is our French teacher. She has a Master Degree in French as Foreign Language which allows a smooth integration of non-French speakers. Along with Suzanne, the team is able to assess each child’s needs and abilities. Activities are adapted to what he/ she requires at the present moment. Throughout the year, Laurence and Suzanne continue to assess each child in order to adapt the curriculum to his/ her needs. |
