The curriculum is based on a highly qualitative curriculum designed specifically for young learners (ages 3 – 12) in international schools. This programme is transdisciplinary : it draws the individual discipline together into a coherent whole, while preserving the essence of each subject. Your child:
The primary programme uses a range of measurement strategies designed to evaluate your child's learning accurately and to identify targets for improvement. Through every day activities, the teachers are able to check the improvement of the children, their knowledge and their know-how. Then, they can plan the different activities in order to meet each child’s need and to choose the best method to make them progress. Parents are of course regularly reported on their child’s progress. The primary programme is an excellent preparation to the middle years programme for 11 – 16 year-olds. Both curricula place a focus on critical thinking, personal responsibility for learning, student enquiry and self-help spirit. The primary programme integrates the key points of the national curriculum, so that your child may reintegrate it later with ease, if desired. It is the same for students transferring from international schools. They will have common learning experiences in terms of conceptual development, skill acquisition, positive attitudes and meaningful action. |
