EPIM Schools: welcoming both International and French families
One might think that International Schools like the EPIM are reserved to certain types of parents or only for international families. Not so! Experience has shown that EPIM schools attract both international populations seeking the quality standards of International Schools, as well as French populations seeking a French school that responds to their new demands, such as preparing children to live in a global world.

EPIM schools welcome different types of
parents in their International School at both locations,
Marseille and Aix-en-Provence (Luynes) :
-
International families are happy
to find the educational values they are familiar with in other countries around
the world : a recognized, coherent pedagogical approach with experienced
teachers in modern, cheerful classrooms equipped with current educational
technology; a complete, well-balanced educational program that takes into
account all aspects of the child's development (fundamental education, music,
theater, visual arts, sports, personal and social education...); an individual
educational program with classroom sizes limited to 16 children per
class ; special attention devoted to ensuring that classroom learning
translates into real-world competency (know-how « to do » and
know-how « to be ») thanks to an educational program where children
learn and grow through play and experience; finally, a school that encourages
open-mindedness where children learn how to learn. These are the main reasons why international parents living in Aix-en-Provence, after having made the rounds
of local schools, requested that the EPIM School of Marseille open a second
location closer to them (Luynes).
-
Mixed couples who offer their
children the possibility to continue learning their parents' language, while
going to school in a bilingual environment that corresponds to their own
culture.
-
French parents who have understood
that the incapacity to speak English fluently will jeopardize their children's
future and realize they must be prepared to live in the global professional
world.
-
French parents who know it is much
easier to learn English through bilingual immersion from as early as two years
of age, than by memorizing vocabulary lists as an adolescent, or worse, as an
adult.
-
Parents who have not received
adequate responses from their child's current school to their demands and
concerns, and who are looking for a school recognized by the French government,
such as EPIM Schools, where their child will be respected as an individual at
the center of the learning process, but without being marginalized by methods
that would hinder the child's return to French schools if need be.
EPIM School parent populations are varied and
rich in their diversity, as should be the case in International Schools around
the world. Thus, EPIM Schools are capable of
preparing children to feel at home on the other side of the world, while
preparing them pursue brilliant studies in a French middle school and high
school on the other side of the street.
