Back to school 2011-12
EPIM students and staff are eagerly anticipating the first day of school, September 5th 2011. With many new and exciting projects underway, everyone is looking forward to kicking off the new school year!

La Rentrée for the 2011-12 school year is just around the corner ! New and returning students for all over the world will be arriving for their first day of school at EPIM in Marseille and Aix-en-Provence (Luynes) on Monday the 5th of September.The Private International Bilingual schools of Marseille and the Mediterranean have many exciting pedagogical projects and lessons for the students this year. As every year, the schools appreciate feedback from parents and the community as they constantly strive to evolve and innovate.
This year EPIM introduces German and Italian lessons adding to the Dutch lessons already offered at the school. As every year, EPIM proposes Mandarin and Taekwondo lessons to children ages 4 and up.
EPIM is pleased to be continuing their theatre visits as for last year with exciting productions and school workshops linked to each production. The school's music and drama specialists have been involved in selecting these sessions and will tailor their programs to extend learning opportunities to the shows. There are also planned visits for classes to and from a farm, the planetarium and museums linked to the learning in class.
Last year the "classes transportées" were also hugely successful. This year, Cycle 3 students will have an opportunity to participate in the "classe de neige," learning to ski but also important life and social skills of a residential visit. Grande Section and Cycle 2 children will also have a "classe verte" with activities tailored to their ages. EPIM in Aix is launching an allotment project where each class can plant and grow produce. This incorporates all aspects of learning and gives a great sense of satisfaction and achievement to children.
We're looking forward to welcoming all our students and staff and can't wait to start the year off right!
