Back to School 2010-2011 : A few words to our new parents from the direction at EPIM.
This year, the first day back to school at EPIM for all of our kindergarten and primary students was September 6th. It also served as an opportunity for the parents to meet the new reinforced pedagogical team and to discover the latest additions at our school. The pedagogical directors personally met with a group of parents and, with the same idea in mind, the founders have created this message to share with all our parents:
[06/09/2010]
Hello and welcome everyone to the new school
year 2010-11!
We hope you all had great summer and that
new arrivals to the area have settled in well.
You will have noticed that our two schools have
had many changes, with four new classes to accommodate the large number of
newly enrolled children at Aix and Marseille.
We would like to thank each and every one of
you for your confidence in us, especially our existing families who have helped
to spread the word about EPIM in the region.
The increase in numbers on roll enables us to
introduce new initiatives and to further improve the quality of education at
EPIM : Sailing classes, art lessons as part of daily timetables,
participation in regional art projects, such as the theatres in Marseille and
Aix, sporting events between our two schools, computerised loan system for
school library books in both schools, etc.
We have also been able to introduce a Chinese
club where children can learn both about the language and culture from an early
age with activities like : games, songs, calligraphy, feng shui ..on
offer.
We are also keen to focus on personal and social
skills this year at EPIM. As such, we are keen to participate and have children
working in and with the local community.
We have also introduced a simple and practical
uniform this year to promote a sense of belonging, respect and pride in school.
Finally, to help ease the burden of buying
stationery supplies for school, and to enable parents and children to enjoy the
last few days of holiday, we have centrally purchased supplies for pupils,
which will be distributed in class.
We are sure that parents and children will find
a warm and happy atmosphere at EPIM as well as a puposeful and professional
working environment.
We are happy and always available to help should
you have any questions or queries.
Happy School Year 2010-2011 !
