An International Halloween!
At the end of the First Half Term in October, Halloween was celebrated at EPIM.

Halloween in Provence
Children
came to school dressed in fantastic Halloween costumes, ranging from the
traditional witch or vampire to a giant strawberry and pirate!
The school
was decorated with spiders, webs, pumpkins, bats and skeletons as children
learnt about and welcomed the American festival of Halloween.
Food was
prepared in classes for the party celebration. Important measuring skills and
practical coordination skills were therefore practiced in a real and meaningful
way.
A spooky
photo shoot and shared school story was followed with individual and team games
in the classes. "Catch the worm" and "Hunt the Candy" in cold and slimy pasta
were particular favourites. The tradition of "Trick-or-Treating" was also
experienced by the school children as they visited the office staff.
A great
time was had and all the children enjoyed a fun and enriching learning
experience.
