'Tis the season to be jolly!
This past month has been quite jolly and quite busy! In November, the children celebrated the American holiday of Thanksgiving, then came the celebration of St. Nicolas, and finally the children put on a fabulous Christmas show of the parents.

EPIM enjoys
keeping in the tradition of the children's cultures.
For
Thanksgiving, in Aix-en-Provence, the children planted bulbs in our new garden plots to kick off that exciting project. In the afternoon, at a school wide assembly, our American students retold
the story of the first Thanksgiving, with costumes and a special afternoon
snack prepared by some of the children. In Marseille, every child brought in a
fruit or vegetable to prepare a fruit salad and veggie soup for all to share.
In early December, the Dutch
children in Aix-en-Provence
acted out the story of St. Nicolas for each class and distributed chocolates
and mandarins on their very important holiday. The students of Marseille also
shared in this tradition.
Finally
all of the EPIM children ages 2-11 from our Aix and Marseille schools participated
in our famous International Bilingual (at times trilingual) Christmas show
which had 2 performances due to our growing number of children and families in
both schools! The children sang songs in French and English during th course of their school wide theater performance. The school choir along with the music teacher showed off their hard work this past trimester with a beautiful song. EPIM in Aix-en-Provence even had it's first ever raffle
organized by our very special Parent Teacher Association to raise money for our
school library!
This was a
very great year for us at EPIM !
